Personal informationNifty Notes only uses your contact information for the purpose you provided it to us. For example, if you provided your contact details for a support call, then it will not be used for the mailing list. In addition, by default, communication opt‑in settings are set to "off". Thus you have to explicitly tell us if you want to be on our general mailing list, and of course you can email us to opt‑out again. Of course, Nifty Notes does not on-sell, or in any other way, distribute any of your contact details you may have provided to us.
Credit card informationNifty Notes does not record or hold in any way, shape or form, any of your credit card details. In order not to have to store any of your credit card details, we use PayPal only, and rely on their security systems for the protection of your card information.
Payment informationAll payment information is processed separately on our own internal systems which are protected by best of breed firewall & internet security software.
Your stored data and materialsSome of our products enable you to store your data / materials on our web-servers. Our software security is such that only you have access to your data. Where Nifty Notes staff needs access to your data for defect analysis purposes, they are bound by employment contract not to divulge any of your information in any way (which will be enforced to the maximum extent possible under Australian law).
SecurityNifty Notes systems rely on world-class security models provided by the third party software components we use, such as that provided by Microsoft and Internet security software. In addition, user logins are truly unique across all portal instances, thereby avoiding any chance of accidental access to other party's data.
CookiesCookies are just the way web-sites work and the way in which the web-software can track the "state" of your dialogue with the web-server. Cookies are used for example for login sessions, the support area, forums and searches. The software also uses cookies to help ensure surveys are only completed once.
A cookie is a small data file issued by the web-server which your browser writes to your hard drive when you visit the site. The only personal information a cookie can contain is information you supplied though the dialogue you initiated. A cookie can't read data off your hard disk or read cookie files created by other sites.
Collecting Unique IdentifiersOur website uses a multi-purpose feedback form to enable you to request information, lodge support tickets, provide feedback, etc. Our software collects your contact information and unique identifiers for the purposes of fulfilling orders, tracking feedback and support progress status, etc. None of this information is ever divulged outside our company walls.
IP addressesNifty Notes only uses your IP address to gather broad (aggregated) geographical and statistical usage and survey information. No personally Identifiable Information is gathered during this process, nor is your IP address divulged in any way to any other external party, ever.
External LinkingThe Nifty Notes site provides links (url's) to other sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of these websites.
LawNifty Notes operates under Australian law. Hence, the only exception to disclosure of your information is in the extremely unlikely event of being required by an Australian law enforcement agency to provide such information, which by law can only be on an individual case-by-case basis.
